Laid out in the 1920s among the ruins of the small medieval town of Ninfa, which was founded in the eight century and destroyed in 1381. The creation of the garden in this place was motivated largely by the abundance and purity of the waters and a particular microclimate.
The garden is own and administrated by the Fondazione Roffredo Caetani.
